Detox Soup Recipe Instructions
Heat the Pot: Begin by heating a soup pot over medium heat. Add olive oil, followed by ginger.
Cook the Ingredients: Cook for 30 seconds, then incorporate the tomato chunks. Continue cooking for a few minutes until the tomatoes soften around the edges. Next, add mushrooms and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Add Liquids and Seasonings: Introduce water, silken tofu, dried seaweed, light soy sauce, and white pepper powder. Cover the pot, bring the mixture to a boil, and simmer for 3 minutes over medium heat.
Final Additions: Stir in black vinegar, sesame oil, baby spinach, and salt to taste.
Finish and Serve: Once the soup returns to a boil and the spinach has wilted, garnish with scallions and/or cilantro before serving.
Additional Suggestions
Consider enhancing the soup with 1 tablespoon of miso paste, 1 cup of cooked brown rice, or 6 ounces of cooked soba noodles for added flavor and texture.
